Is your school involved?

If every Indiana student donated just $1, Kids Caring & Sharing could give $1 million each year to help thousands of sick and injured children at Riley Hospital.

“Kids helping kids” is the core value of “Kids Caring & Sharing.” The Indiana Association of School Principals (IASP) has long recognized KCS for Riley Hospital as an official fundraising priority. Learn more about this fun and educational program. Schools throughout Indiana have been teaching children the value of philanthropy since 1985 through the KCS program.

  • More than 600 schools raised more than $680,000 in 2007-2008.
  • KCS has raised nearly $10 million for Riley Hospital for Children.

Become a Miracle School
Raise $1 per student and your school will receive special recognition as a “Miracle School.”

“People need to realize how easy it is to raise $1 per child. At my school in Beech Grove we have 400 kids. By holding just one hat day or one jeans day during the year you can accomplish the goal of becoming a Miracle School.”
-Matthew Davis, KCS advisory board chairman, principal at Hornet Park Elementary in Beech Grove and former cardiology patient at Riley Hospital for Children

Become a Miracle Corporation
The mission is simple: raise $1 per student at every school in your corporation.

In 2007-08 Fort Wayne Community Schools pursued the goal of becoming the largest “Miracle Corporation” in Indiana. They raised $31,738 in six weeks, surpassing their overall enrollment of 31,606.

“Several of our students rely on Riley Hospital for medical treatment. Last year, we decided to include all of FWCS in KCS because each of our buildings has students who receive care from Riley. KCS provides a way for children to help their friends.”
-Renée Beaman, principal at Harris Elementary School in Fort Wayne and organizer of FWCS “Miracle Corporation” initiative
